Is it possible?

Is it possible to successfully switch from Wordpress to Blogger?

Is it possible to continue a blog when I can't import my old posts? Is it possible to keep my readers? Is it possible to maintain my anonymity if I can't password-protect individual posts?

I want to try switching to Blogger so I can use Adsense and try to use this blog to earn some extra cash for my upcoming year in Europe. I figure that with 200-400 hits daily, I might actually make some money.

On Blogger, unfortunately, you either restrict the entire blog to specific members, or leave every post open to everyone. Right now I think I'm going to try leaving it open, and just be slightly less specific on certain details of certain stories. I think I'll be okay with that.

I have to admit though, I do feel a little bit like a traitor because I really believe in Wordpress, and I believe it's a much better service than Blogger. My Wordpress site will stay up though, for archival and referral purposes. And so I can go back to it, if this falls through.

I really appreciate all of you taking the time to click an extra link to see me. Please update your bookmarks and continue to comment and let me know what you think about switching, the new site, the ads, or anything at all.

hey! i am staying with you just so you know. i love reading your posts because i see so much of my feelings in them. its nice to know im not the only one sometimes, you know?

blogger isnt all bad, there are some nice features that wordpress doesnt allow unless you pay.

just remember to keep info out of posts though. i have to re-read all my posts before i publish them to make sure i stay as anonymous as possible. but you can do it!
